A little known, but absolutely tranquil spot to witness gorgeous sunsets is in the historic little town of Laurel Park, located in Henderson County of western North Carolina. A short drive from either Asheville or Hendersonville, this spot is popular with couples, young and old. With the Sun disappearing over the Appalachian ridge, on a day with crystal blue skies, one can't help but just watch in amazement as the golden light illuminates the bench while silhouetting the beautiful oaks against the sky. It gets even better on a day with enough clouds!
