A half a mile hike up the trail adjacent to Maroon Lake in Pitkin County, Coloardo will lead you to this beautiful spot, where one can pause to catch up on their breath or maybe just take a break and soak in the beautiful view of the Rocky Mountain range and in summer, perhaps stop to smell the myriad of wild flowers that grow in abundance along this path. And if you're an early riser, there's no better place to be at to soak in the Sunrise lighting up these beautiful peaks with the alpen glow, from which they derive their name, the Maroon Peaks.
