Built on a bluff in the southwest corner of the island of Puerto Rico is the El Faro lighthouse, or commonly known as the Cabo Rojo or Los Morillos lighthouse. This lighthouse overlooks the mighty Atlantic Ocean and guides all the ships passing through this area, especially the treacherous Mona passage, before they get either to the Atlantic or to the Caribbean Sea. Built in the year 1882, this one has withstood the test of time and the forces of Mother Nature. Quite a location to view a breathtaking sunset.
