A brilliant sunset along the peaks of the 14ers at the overlook at Independence Pass. With 32 miles of paved road, Independence Pass runs through Pitkin county and connects Aspen with the little town of Twin Lakes. With several overlooks and pullouts along the entire stretch, this highway offers a plethora of opportunities for photographing the resplendent beauty of the 14ers. This photograph was taken at the overlook, which also happens to be the highest point along the highway @ 12095 ft.
