The ferry ride from Circular Quay's Wharf # 2 at Sydney Harbour to Watson's Bay is a fun way to explore the inner waters of the famous Sydney Harbour. A round trip takes anywhere between 1.5 to 2 hours but gives you a very good idea of the neighbourhoods adjoining these calm waters. This is also a great way to get a view of the Sydney CBD skyline, the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House from the water.

The lineup of these 3 sailboats as I was riding the ferry from Sydney Harbour to Watsons Bay provided the perfect foreground for the stormy skies above. With the thick cloud cover, the light from the Sun was just so diffused to provide the beautiful backdrop for these boats with the darkening skies that you see here. The sailboats being well lit make for a perfect image on a dark and cloudy day!
