The swamps of southern Louisiana, in addition to having a large number of alligators, also have a plethora of abandoned cabins. This particular one was photographed in the Jean Lafitte swamp. A good way to spend a hot summer's day by taking a boat ride with family and friends. These cabins are also very popular with the movie production companies and fact has it that some of them have actually staged these cabins for filming the movies. This particular one was a movie prop for the movie "Tempted" that starred Burt Reynolds in the lead role. The image has been converted to monochrome to bring out the antiquated nature of this abandoned structure.
