A serene and tranquil morning on the 469-mile Blue Ridge Parkway is enough to bring calm and peace to anyone that's willing to spend the time to seek this beauty and splendor! This morning was just perfect with the fog just about right to bring out the brilliance of the Sun's rays. And what a show the natural elements put on for those lucky enough to witness this! The Sun creeping up ever so slowly, just bathing the mountain tops initially with that purple haze, turning the air into a brilliant orange hovering over the purple haze. With the clouds in a flying saucer formation, there was enough going to perhaps make this the sunrise of the year! Though this event happened several years back it remains fresh in my memory as if it happened yesterday. The beauty of the Appalachia leave a lasting impression and this beautiful autumn sunrise sure did leave its mark on me. And being there to freeze this...
